violet's sixth month

17lb . 8oz . 27in
wearing 6mo clothes, size 3 diapers

loves: playing in the bath, her daddy, squealing, grabbing everything she can
hates: bedtime, taking bottles, independent playtime, teething

six more teeth are dropping in, she plays with her diaper anytime it's uncovered, she reacts to her name and "hungry?" spoken or signed, she adores poor Bear who is terrified of her, she's been having nightmares, and she is a total chunk!

How is my teeny tiny little pea already half a year old?! It was a year ago on Valentine's Day that we shared our happy news, but it seems like only yesterday. Sweet Violet is acting more like a toddler with each passing day, and it is a very bittersweet time for her mama. I never know which day I'll witness a "last," so I've been consciously cherishing each fleeting baby-ism. Her sixth month did not pass without it's challenges: illness, sleep regression, and gnarly teething (her eye teeth are monstrous!). All of the above left her pretty attached to me for a while, screaming through Sunday school and independent playtimes. Thankfully we are starting to fall back into a normal daily pattern. The girl has such a strong personality and loves to laugh with her daddy, mirror sounds and movements, and observe new things (mostly with her mouth). Month seven is going to be off the charts with lots of goodies on the calendar, but every spare moment I have I'll be breathing in her wispy hair and humming in her ear cheek to cheek.

Her half-birthday, and looking way too grown

a Valentine for Daddy
